At Frutas Poveda we have always been committed to sustainability and environmental protection, so we strive to reduce our footprint on the planet as much as possible, making our production more sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We seek to consume energy efficiently, improve waste management and monitor our water consumption.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this, as you know, is very similar to what is proposed by the SDGs, which are only a few years away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article we will talk more in depth about the SDGs and how we work in Frutas Poveda to achieve them and have a more sustainable production<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the SDGs?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The SDGs or Sustainable Development Goals are 17 goals created by the United Nations General Assembly as a long-term plan to: “achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”<\/strong> and are intended to be achieved by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among these 17 goals are some such as: achieving gender equality, ensuring sustainable production, combating climate change or ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives that are directly related to the values of our company and for which we strive to improve on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why are the SDGs so important for Frutas Poveda?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The SDGs were after all created as a global wake-up call by the United Nations after realizing that we had to act to improve our future by ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Frutas Poveda we carry in our DNA this concern for protecting the environment,<\/strong> corporate social responsibility, the fight against poverty and improving the health of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, for years we have had our own action plan that is very much aligned with the SDGs and in which we carry out some actions such as the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
