Today we share with you a different article where we show you a very special project in which we are participating.<\/p>\n\n

At Frutas Poveda we are committed with <\/strong>more conscious, sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.<\/strong><\/a> with the environment. <\/p>\n\n

For this reason, we are collaborating with two key entities <\/strong> in our farms: AILIMPO <\/strong><\/a>(Interprofessional Association of Lemons and Grapefruit) and ANSE <\/strong><\/a>(Asociaci\u00f3n de Naturalistas del Sureste Espa\u00f1ol), in the Agriconciencia project, whose main objective is to reduce the impact of agriculture on the Mar Menor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

What is the Agriconscience Project?<\/h2>\n\n

The Agriconciencia Project aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices in southeastern Spain, with special attention to the protection of the Mar Menor <\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

On our farms, this collaboration has materialized through various actions that show that environmentally friendly agricultural production<\/strong> is possible and effective.<\/p>\n\n

Biodiversity protection: nest boxes and monitoring ofnightjars<\/h3>\n\n
<\/div>\n\n

One of the most important steps has been the installation of nesting boxes to promote biodiversity and provide shelter<\/strong> for insectivorous birds that help biological pest control.<\/p>\n\n

Among the most special cases is that of a family of nightjars that have nested on our farm. <\/strong>Recently, the eggs hatched and we are now GPS tracking the parents to better understand their flight paths during the day.<\/p>\n\n

Our teams of tractor drivers and pruners have been informed of the exact location of the chickens and act with the utmost care to ensure the safety of this wild family.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Soon, we will also install nesting boxes in the La Roca estate, <\/strong>next to the regional park of El Valle and Carrascoy, in cooperation with ANSE<\/strong><\/a>as part of our vision to extend this model of respectful and regenerative agriculture to all our farms.<\/p>\n\n
