We received an award at the II Jornada de Responsabilidad Social (Social Responsibility Day)

On February 23, 2023, the entire Frutas Poveda team received a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award from the Rotary Club. We are very proud of this recognition.

CSR is a very important part of our company, as it is our values and the basis on which we make all other decisions.

Everything we do, we do it thinking of doing our bit for the world, taking care of people and the environment.

How we care for the environment

At Frutas Poveda we always seek to reduce our footprint on the planet as much as possible.

To achieve this, one of the actions we take is to replace the use of plastics with other materials that are 100% sustainable.

We also have several projects underway that have been helping us for years to eliminate non-renewable energies and replace them with renewable energies, such as:

– Energy efficiency audits.

– Change of machinery.

– Efficient ammonia refrigeration systems.

– Or the installation of more than 1,500 solar panels in our warehouses.

We have also created a sustainable transportation plan through which we are renewing our fleet of vehicles with hybrid or low-consumption models and optimizing our transportation routes.

We are proud of all the corporate social responsibility actions we take, as these actions are not only aimed at environmental sustainability, but also at improving the well-being of consumers and the social and labor improvement of our team.

How we care for people

Did you know that in 2022 we were awarded the Murcia Region’s equality badge and that we are adhered to the initiative of companies free of gender violence?

Social responsibility is a must and very important to us, we want to make sure that we build a work environment where everyone feels comfortable, safe and has equal opportunities.

That’s why we are also committed to offering equal employment opportunities to everyone.

In fact, last year we added to our workforce a large number of Ukrainian women who came to Spain in search of new opportunities.

We also developed an equality plan (long before it became mandatory by law), because we wanted to ensure equal opportunities in access to jobs, give visibility to women, eliminate the sexist use of language, improve regulations on co-responsibility and improve general working conditions.


All of this is just a small part of what we do, but we wanted to show it to you so you can see all the work that goes into every award, prize or badge we receive.

We do not do this for recognition, but because it is part of the foundation of the company, the values with which Frutas Poveda was created.

We are still eager to contribute more to this world in order to leave a better planet for generations to come.
